English Workshop der sechsten Klassen
My class-mates and I had an English Workshop called Media Madness. The main topic of the workshop was advertisement. The workshop lasted three days. Sharon and Franz moderated the w
orkshop. The two were really cool and they were talking English to us all the time. Franz was born in Vorarlberg, but after his Matura he went out to see the world. In California he met Sharon and they lived there together for about twenty years.
At first we separated the class 6b into teams to play some games where we could collect points. The games were not only fun but also really interesting and we learned a lot. All of us enjoyed the workshop a lot. Besides, we learned much about America. The highlight of the English Workshop was our self-made Zombie movie named „Zombienarium“. It was really hard and demanding to make a movie because we had to record some scenes a couple of times (we laughed a lot).
To make a movie is a lot of work, but thank god the result is great. It was cool to see ourselves in the adapted version (it was FUNNY too). In the end every group got a little gift because everyone of us was good. Overall it was pretty cool and everyone would love to do it again! Thank you Sharon and Franz!

When Mrs. Mader told us that we were going to have an English workshop from 14th to 18th February we were very skeptical at first.
But when we met Sharon and Franz everybody was surprised. They are a nice married couple. Franz is from Austria (Bregenz) and Sharon is a Native American. They live in California and they often travel to Austria to do English courses at schools.
On the first day we had to present ourselves and we split up in four groups. The following days we learned a lot about American history, American geography and the American way of life. We watched short videos for example about surfing, beaches and American High Schools. We did a quiz where we could show our knowledge.
Later we learned how to produce a commercial. We made posters, acted out dialogues, watched little advertising spots and created our own spots for a hairshampoo, snacks, a sport drink and so on.
We had a lot of fun during the workshop especially working in groups was awesome. It was a change to listen to American English. Our English has improved a lot because we spoke English most of the time.
If we could have it again, we would agree instantly!

Was gefällt mir an der Volksschule Lochau?
Mir gefällt der grosse Turnssaal. Englisch mit Sharon mag ich sehr gern. Mir gefällt dass man die WC letztes Jahr renoviert hat. Samuel und Enya

Ich finde an der Schule toll, dass ich was lerne. Ich finde es toll, dass ich nach der Schule-wenn ich gross bin-arbeiten kann, was ich will. Ich finde an der Schule toll, dass die Lehrer und Lehrerinnen nett sind. Ich finde Turnen toll. Gut finde ich die Spiele, die wir unter der Stunde spielen. Gut finde ich, dass wir einmal im Jahr ein Englischtheater haben. Mir gefällt in der Schule besonders der Trinkbrunnen. Chantale

Es macht einfach Spass. Vielleicht möchte ich später Schauspielerin werden. Ich bin die Prinzessin und ich habe viel Text gelernt. Mir gefällt das Bewegen auf der Bühne. Ida
